May 19, 2015 · There was a small balance rod internally that floated up & down according to engine vacuum. If the idle mixture screw was reinserted & even just snugged up, It would damage the rod, making it[ the idle function] irrepairable. Again, that's only on older Tecumseh models. You mentioned looking for a brass screw. The whole carb was painted white, so it [ the idle mixture screw on the side] wouldn't appear brass.
The turbojet engine was the first type of jet engine to be developed and one that, in various forms, has remained in widespread use to this day. The turbojet was invented by Frank Whittle in England and, independently, by Hans von Ohain in Germany. > Air is drawn into the turbojet by a compressor...
car stayed idling, but gas pedal quit working all together. idled down first side street and shut the car off. restarted vehicle 2 mins later and gas pedal started working again. car idle revs up for a second suddenly on its own at slow speeds like waiting in a drive thru and causes the car to jerk forward if brake pedal is not pressed on firmly.
Low oil pressure at idle only, will most often mean that the engine is low on oil. As more power is applied to the engine via acceleration, the pressure builds up inside the engine. Thereby causing the pressure to read as "normal". High oil temperature can cause low oil pressure. A defective oil pump can also lead to low oil pressure at idle.
Faulty idle air control actuator: The idle air control actuator controls the engines RPMs when it is idling. This actuator receives information from the electronic control unit (ECU) so it knows at what RPM to keep the engine for a smooth and safe idle.
Jun 30, 2020 · Since the AC compressor is driven by the engine, it doesn’t pump as much refrigerant when you’re at a stop or driving slowly. If the system is low on refrigerant, it will show up as AC blows warm at idle and blows colder when the engine is running at higher RPMs. Get your system refrigerant level checked.
