The Missouri Valley Line Constructors Apprenticeship and Training Program is a four year "earn while you learn" school consisting of a minimum of 7,000 hours of on-the-job training and related academic classes. Of these hours, there are specific amounts of required types of training.
Apprenticeship ratios refer to the number of journeymen who must be employed for each apprentice hired. Ratios are set to assure proper supervision and training. In some cases, there is one ratio for the first apprentice and a different ratio for additional apprentices.
Lineman Apprenticeship Program There is an apprenticeship program for those who wish to train to work as lineman. The program will last for four years. Individuals will learn about the entry-level job duties of a Lineman. They will earn an income that is a percentage of that earned by a journeyman lineman.
